  • The Third Generation Standard Legacy Ankh in Silver Tone Metal

Endless Night Vamporium The Third Generation Standard Legacy Ankh in Silver Tone Metal

Designed by LEGENDARY CELEBRITY SILVERSMITH Alligator Jesus, this limited production (only 200 made) Third Generation Legacy Ankh is cast in metal alloy, covered with Silver Tone enamel for long wear, is numbered, and comes with its own chain! For Sterling Silver, check out the 3rd Generation Large Legacy Ankh - Deluxe Edition. Ankh size: 3" High Chain Length: 26" Material: Silver Tone Metal The Legacy Ankh is a special version of the bladed ankh and is the sigilium which represents the virtues, teachings, traditions, culture and philosophy known as the Black Veils.  Some of the Black Veils include virtues like Immortality, Romance, Elegance, Seduction, Apotheosis, Music, Art, Decadence, Nightside, Dayside, Unity, Family, Magick, Dance, Civility, Hospitality, Honor, Diversity, Chivalry, Decadence and Xepher. In 1996, Master Metal Manipulator D’Drennan was commissioned by Father Sebastiaan to make an exclusive version of a bladed ankh to represent the Black Veils and the Legacy. Thus was born the Legacy Ankh, the most recognized international symbol in the Vampyre / Vampire Culture and community. This precious artifact is proudly worn proudly in public and openly in ceremony by Vampires and Black Swans to symbolize their Legacy and understanding of the Black Veils. THE ANKH The ankh, or in Latin the crux ansata (cross with a handle), was originally the Egyptian hieroglyph which meant “life”. Many ancient Egyptian artworks, especially funerary art, depict gods and pharaohs bearing this symbol. The ankh was also associated with Osiris, the god of death and rebirth, and ankhs were often placed with mummies in order to symbolically convey the gift of immortality. Over time the ankh came to symbolize immortality and can even be seen as a key to unlock the gates of death. The Rosicrucian tradition and members of Hermetic orders often use this symbol in their rituals. The Coptic Christians, also employed it as a symbol of life after death. Ankhs incorporating mirrors into their design have sometimes been used to symbolize perception of the subtle reality. The bladed ankh first appeared in popular culture in the 1983 film The Hunger, based on the vampire novel by Whitley Strieber and directed by Tony Scott. With its historical symbolism, cultural significance, and esoteric nature, the bladed ankh was the obvious and most common symbol for the Vampire.

Vamporium The Sanguinarium Vampyre Ankh - Version "A"

Father Sebastiaan is premiering The Sanguinarium Vampyre Ankh! We're rolling out three variations on this D'Drennan classic starting with the never-before-seen variation by Alligator Jesus. Sanguinarium Vampyre Ankh - Version "A" is made of 925 Silver edition by Alligator Jesus based on the classic D'Drennan Design (see "O" Version). We're offering The Sanguinarium Vampyre Ankh - Version "A" at a special rate in honor of its very first casting. The Sanguinarium Vampyre Ankh - Version "A" measures 3.5"x1.25" and weighs 17g Ships within 48 hours. After Father Sebastiaan commissioned the Legacy Vampyre Ankh from master metal manipulator P.N. D’Drennan in 1996, he went on to create more Sanguinarium and Sabretooth Clan Artifacts.  The first was the Sanguinarium Vampyre Ankh for the Vampyre Almanac 1887-8 Edition which was for Hot Topic (when that was cool and the only place many of us could get gothic, magick or alternative merch).  This first Vampyre Almanac was the gateway for many to first enter into the modern Vampyre / vampire culture.  With the passing of D’Drennan on Valentines Day 2005 the  Sanguine Ankh was retired for a while to honor the Legacy Ankh. Today the Sanguinarium Vampyre Ankh has been put back into production as a piece of history representing the historical Sanguinarium Vampyre Network found at www.sanguinarium.net (http://www.sanguinarium.net).  Whilst the first gen Legacy Ankh is available only to personal Sabretooth fang clients of Father Sebastiaan the Sanguimarium Vampyre Ankh is available to anyone pursuing Vampyre Culture.  It is particularly popular for Ronin and Black Swans. Other Versions of The Sanguinarium Vampyre Ankh :  The Sanguinarium Vampyre Ankh - Version "O" by  D'Drennan handmade in 925 Silver, features a high shine polish and is stamped 925.
